Introduction

  • The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has been dedicated to the welfare of animals, working compassionately to protect and care for them.
  • The SPCA – Thanjavur District was re-established and officially registered under the Society Registration Act of 1975 with registration number SRG / THANJAVUR / 11 / 2022 on February 28, 2022.
  • The society operates under the leadership of the Thanjavur District Collector,who serves as its Chairman,and the Regional Joint Director of
    Animal Husbandry, Thanjavur, who functions as its Secretary.
  • The SPCA Thanjavur District remains actively engaged in promoting animal
    welfare across the district through various initiatives.
